About me

Photography has been an important part of my life for more than 15 years.

My passion originates in the world of nature and bird photography. Having spent countless of early mornings in the forest, in a swamp, on a mountain or by the water, I still find myself longing for that special moment when the light, the subject and the action all comes together.

Over the years, I have become more of a generalist. My latest personal adventure is immersing myself in the world of sports photography. I find that the basics are the same, it is all about the light, the subject and the action coming together for that perfect frame.

Currently, I live with my wife and two daughters just west of Stockholm city. Many of the images you see on these pages are taken in the beautiful surrounding nature still available to the public.

About my photography

To me, great photography is all about being prepared to make an effort. To put in that little extra energy into each and every single frame to improve the end result. And to do it consistently.

In practice, this can mean very different things. It can range from embarking on a long-haul photography expedition to a distant place, to taking that one single step sideways and find it dramatically improving your composition. It can be about sitting in a cold and wet swamp for hours waiting for the sun to rise, or just take a minute to watch and study the light before picking up the camera from the bag. In the end, the extra effort is almost always worthwile!

That is why there needs to be will and passion behind the lens in order to make really good images.

I hope that you enjoy the images as much as I have enjoyed making them!
